There is much that is clever about Found, a musical based on the creation of a real-life zine that anthologizes discarded letters, lists, posters, mash notes, break-up missives, etc. There’s much that’s clever about the production, including lyrics that are verbatim lifts of the often hilarious and bizarre real-life text. But the show is entirely too long, the plot is predictable, and every story beat and character motivation is telegraphed and underscored with the projection of yet another aptly chosen “found” text.
