Did we really need another revival of Les Misérables on Broadway? Probably not, but Cameron Macintosh’s new production has an ace up its sleeve: studly Iranian-born Canadian actor Ramin Karimloo as the escaped prisoner with a heart of gold Jean Valjean. A mainstay of the West End making his Broadway debut, Karimloo has a crystalline tenor as well as movie-star looks. Check out my B+ review at EW.com
