Wherefore art thou in such a bad production, Elisabeth Olsen? Sad to say, this season’s other modern-dress revival of Romeo and Juliet is an even bigger disappointment than the one on Broadway with Orlando Bloom and Condola Rashad. There’s not a lot that makes sense in Tea Alagic’s production, which plays as if it’s still in workshop. Why does Julian Cihi’s bland Romeo wear a Winnie-the-Pooh head during much of his courtship scene with Juliet (Elizabeth Olsen, lovely but stranded)? And don’t get me started on why Lady Capulet seems to be making out with Tybalt during the same masquerade ball. Check out my D+ review at EW.com
